My Purpose

Born in Chicago and ready to take on the world, I began my journey. At a young age I knew that hair and makeup were my calling. I wanted to touch it, design it and pretty much be it! What can I say? I was in love with hair and makeup. Yes, I did say I was in love with HAIR and MAKEUP!  By the way, hair is my favorite four letter word. After years of dreaming about being a Hair and Makeup Artist I  went with my gut and started  beauty school! I have loved every minute since. Beauty is my life and love. Special Effects Makeup is my passion. It's all about creating a vision to embrace and show the character from the outside. It's what I do and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Some how I still needed more. I needed to be an inspiration, I needed to educate. So, after many exciting and awesome years behind the chair and onsite I went back to school to get my educators license. I am so happy I did. I knew I needed to use my knowledge and enthusiasm to educate others who are beginning  their journey in this industry and those who have been on this journey for a long time! Now I can and do. I am able to help them reach their highest potential. That 's what it 's all about.

I have brought all my dreams to life! Who can say that? Me! I have taken my love for beauty and passion for SFX along with my  charisma and expertise and became who I wanted to be. I am an Artist and Educator. As an Artist nothing beats the smile on your guests face knowing that you made them feel beautiful or the last touch on your Special Effects creation that brings that character to life. That is what makes my heart sing a really long song because everyone should see themselves as beautiful or feel their part. When they do, I know I have done my job right. As an Educator it's all about teaching and inspiring your students. It's about bringing out the Artist inside of them, this is how they grow and spread their wings.  So, I do the happy dance because everyone needs to believe and be confident in themselves. And when they do they will flourish and grow.  When they do I know that I have done my job right. Fly baby fly!
